Newbie Here (Edited because Spec's intro was inspirational)

Hi! So I'm totally new at this. I've never really been part of a fan forum at all before; I guess I just needed an outlet for my HA! infatuation.
You can call me by my username or TIF (pronounced "Tiff") for short.
I'm excited to read and share with everyone here.
Since I AM new to this kind of format any advice is appreciated too.
If there is anything ya'll want to know about me just ask!

I started watching Hey Arnold right around 8 or 9 years old, and it has always been one of my favorites. I didn't really start watching it again until this year because I didn't have access to it, but I'm sooooooo happy its back in my life! Actually, the day after I really got back into it again, I was smiling so much that even my husband noticed and wanted to know why.

Basics about me: 26; I have an official diagnosis of ADHD though sometimes I suspect I just have issues ; if you know anything about Myers & Briggs or MBTI my personality type is an ENFP; she/her pronouns; I'm also an MK TCK if you know what that is.

I have a lot of fanfic ideas and headcanons in general. Mostly I like to think up believable reasonings behind the little inconsistencies in the show.

My favorite character without a doubt is Arnold Shortman himself. Okay, so it might not be as cool as having a side or obscure character as your favorite, but I'd be lying if I claimed anything else.
My favorite episodes in no particular order are Buses, Bikes and Subways (love love love Harold and Helga's almost sibling-like friendship), Ernie in Love, Arnold visits Arnie, Curly's Girl, Married, and that's just the 5th season. One episode that I do want to mention is Helga vs. Big Patty; it's another one of my faves because of how it shows that Arnold actually DOES know the real Helga-- perhaps even more than he consciously realizes himself-- not to mention the character development of Patty and Helga during their conversation at the end of the episode.

I actually wasn't necessarily expecting any replies this soon.
I'm currently watching Hey Arnold! right now. My significant other put in on. And the reason [i]that[i] is cool is, I actually got him into it a couple of months ago. He had never watched it before even as a kid and didn't want to try it out because he thought it just looked like "some dumb kids' show," but I was really missing watching it so I made a deal with him that he just had to watch a few episodes, and that after that he would not ever have to watch it with me again. Haha!
He is not as big a fan as I, but it is one of his go-to shows now when he wants to relax. Of course, I have no objection to that.

That's awesome! My hubby finds it amusing but I think he's "too cool" to actually choose it himself. But our kids and I watch it so he ends up joining in too. It's nice that they can find it humorous and enjoyable as well. :-)

It really is. I'm a proud Mom, haha. My 2.5 year old even recognizes the Hey Arnold music when I put it on...granted he is *obsessed* with music, but still, I'm impressed.

Hey, everyone. I may be taking a break from the forum for some time. For some reason, I kept getting redirected to virus sites.
Anyway, I'll try to stop in from time to time, but if the trouble keeps up it may not be often.

That sucks We've been having it as well and it was quite worse within the past couple of days. I really hope it goes away (even though it unfortunately can't be fixed).

I've been having a similar problem...but only on my mobile. Desktop seems to be ok. I hope you visit somewhat often. I would hate for the forum to die off if we're all MIA :-(

Aww, that stinks. Quick question, though, do you have an ad blocker? Mine's not keeping the stuff from the top of the page but it is keeping me from being redirected. Whatever it is, I hope it works out soon.

I'd advise getting uBlock Origin if your browser can support it, that way it keeps the ads off.

Does that work on phones?

No, it doesn't sadly. If you switch the page to "desktop view" in whatever mobile browser you're using though it stops annoying ads from popping up (like the ones that make your phone vibrate and say "you have a virus"). It does make navigating a little clumsy because you have to zoom in/out a lot to click stuff but it keeps the ads away.
