Hi Everyone!

I've been looking for a Hey Arnold fan community for a long time and am so happy to be recommended here by theArnoldWaltz - hi Kimberly! I look forward to discussing the show and meeting new friends

I started watching the show the year it aired, way back in '96. It stuck with me because I was around the same age as Arnold and the gang (a year older) and I loved that the show explored emotionally real characters, situations and themes moreso than other cartoons at the time. My three favourite episodes are Crush on Teacher (cute!), Helga's Parrot (hilarious!), and Arnold's Christmas (emotional) - but I pretty much love them all Favourite character is Helga - she is very likely the most complex character in childrens programming I've ever seen.

Makes me wonder if I'm one of the "elder statesmen" on this site, since the show is 20 years old and I'm 30 lol. I love that younger people are discovering the show now and just how wonderful it is

You might be in the "older" boat here, but honestly for awhile I was one of the YOUNGER fans and I'm 27 now so it just goes to show how well HA! managed to touch people of all ages. It's so good to have you here!

That's the beauty of Hey Arnold - it touches people of all ages, and I believe the show resonates more with me now as an adult because I can fully appreciate just how far the show was was willing to take risks with emotional realism. Glad to be aboard! I've always wanted to chat about Hey Arnold with other people but never had the chance - guess I found my outlet lol

Hello There! Welcome to the Sunset Arms! I also thought Helga's Parrot was hilarious and Arnold's Christmas was a very emotional episode, one of my favorites along with Thanksgiving... As far as I know me along with Jfgoofy are the younger members on this forum though he's been around longer than I have since I just discovered this great show late 2015. Glad to see the Forum grow and hope it gets bigger!
